Meanwhile, EY maintained its no. 2 position with 64% jump in audit fee, totting up Rs 186.11 crore and PwC took fourth position with fee income of Rs 114 crore.
Outside of the Big Four, Walker Chandiok, the firm affiliated with Grant Thornton, billed the most at Rs 52.20 crore. Based on audit data filed by 1,621 listed companies for the fiscal, total audit fee paid out to the firms was Rs 2,000 crore, an increase of just 2% over the previous fiscal.
